Welcome back to Renew Inspiration! Despite what is happening in your life and around the world, you are destined to embrace happiness within. Let’s depart from this place for a moment and begin to visualize our journey to happiness. When it seems like you will not make it, take some time to reflect on positive thoughts and some of your personal accomplishments. Always remembering that storms may come and go, but what matters most is that you make it through the storm without wavering your faith.  We have to start shifting our thought patterns in a positive direction so we can regain control of our inner being. After all, our inner being defines who we really are as a person.

To begin with, it’s important to note that we must realize and accept the fact that happiness is a choice that we must make every day. Now, let’s focus on these concepts that will help us embrace happiness within:

  • Have a positive outlook on life. It’s quite simple. What we think about most, we become. This will take a lot of effort on your part, but once you conquer it, you will be much happier.
  • Believe in yourself. Get to know yourself and always stay true to yourself. If you don’t believe in you, then no one else will. Do not be an approval seeker.
  • Set and pursue personal goals. Identify what you are looking for in life. Then, set some realistic goals and pursue them. This process will increase one’s self-worth.
  • Practice gratitude daily. Be grateful and appreciate the simplest things in life. Make time to reflect every day and count your blessings.
  • Live in the present. Realize you have control over the here and now. Happiness does not exist in the past or future. Happiness exists in the now.

Living in the present moment is the only way to true happiness. Once you make the choice to embrace happiness within, you will need to work very hard to reach your full potential. Just like any change one tries to make in life, it’s going to take a commitment and discipline to overcome obstacles throughout the process.

Keeping in mind that the enemy always fight the hardest when he knows God has something great in store for you. Before you know it, you will begin to take charge of your life again and know in your heart that I AM DESTINED TO EMBRACE HAPPINESS WITHIN!

Welcome back to Renew Inspiration! I hope you have your journal and something to write with. I don’t know about you, but I love to write in my journal because it is a safe place for me to put my feelings and emotions into words, then put my words into action. Journal writing can be whatever you want it to be and it can be your very own personal journey throughout life to reflect on, your ups and downs, your successes and failures.

As we begin to think about journaling to inspire, let’s take a moment to think about the following questions:

  • Why do I write in my journal?
  • What do I want to learn about myself?
  • How do I shine from day to day?
  • How do I stand out in a crowd?
  • Do I inspire myself and others along my journey?

HOW TO BECOME INSPIRED AGAIN

Believe it or not, journaling is not the only option available to you. When you no longer feel inspired in life, it’s important to make positive lifestyle changes to help you become inspired again.

Here’s some helpful suggestions:

  • Change your physical environment. If your indoors, go outside and vice versa.
  • Enjoy the various facets of nature. Go outdoors and take a walk.
  • Be venturous and try something new. Find a new hobby that you will enjoy.
  • Read an inspirational book. Choose a book to help boost your motivation.
  • Listen to a podcast. It’s nice to find encouragement while listening to others.
  • Be creative. Take an art class, spend time coloring/painting, etc.
  • Listen to music. Music can be a mood changer.

When people speak of their personal ambitions, it is with great passion, optimism, and enthusiasm. Now, here’s some important concepts that are required in order for you to improve life’s inspiration:

Goal Setting

If you want to live a happy life, tie it to a goal, not to people or things. – Albert Einstein

Goal setting is important in every aspect of your life. To pursue new ideas or strive to reach your dreams, you must have a plan to do so. Here’s some steps to follow when goal setting:

  • Identify what you want and name your specific goal(s). Identify one or two things you want most and set these as your beginning goals, such as weight loss, building stronger relationships, being a better person, etc.
  • Write your goal(s) down and write the steps needed to facilitate the goal(s). Make sure to include changes in habits and lifestyle that must take place.
  • Take each of the steps you wrote down and incorporate them into your current lifestyle.
  • Begin to visualize yourself after your goals are achieved.
  • Evaluate your progress as you move through the steps you’ve identified as necessary to reach your goals and adjust your efforts as needed.

Self-Confidence

Self-confidence is a super power. Once you start to believe in yourself, magic starts happening. – Unknown Author

Self-confidence is extremely important in almost every aspect of our lives, but if we are honest with ourselves, we sometimes struggle to find it. There are two main things that contribute to self-confidence: self-efficacy (when we see ourselves and others mastering skills and achieving goals) and self-esteem (we cope with what’s going on in our lives and know that we have a right to be happy). Here’s some ways to build self-confidence in your daily routine:

  • Prepare for your journey. Look at what you’ve already achieved, think about your strengths, think about what’s important to you, and where you want to go in life.
  • Set out on your journey. Build the knowledge you need to succeed, focus on the basics, set small goals and achieve them.
  • Accelerate towards success. By this point, you should feel your self-confidence building from within. Keep yourself grounded and always aware of how you feel throughout this process.

Self-Care

Prioritizing everyone else in your life may seem honorable, but the reality is, totally neglecting yourself isn’t good for anyone. In order to take care of others, you first need to take care of yourself. Here’s some great ways to practice self-care throughout your journey:

  • Make time for exercise or yoga.

  • Listen to soothing music with your eyes closed.
  • Create a relaxing routine (warm bath, meditation, reading, writing in your journal).
  • Get out in nature (go for a walk, run, or hike).

Welcome back to Renew Inspiration! I cannot believe we’ve celebrated the 4th of July already. Where does the time go? Despite the positive mindset I try to practice daily, it’s been real difficult trying to keep hope alive. Hope is another one of those words that can be defined on a personal level and may change from situation to situation; or person to person. According to the Webster Dictionary, hope is defined as “a feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen; a feeling of trust.”

But what does hope mean to you? Do you hope for anything great on today or in the near future? When I think of hope, I think of beauty and positive vibes. Hope is like a beautiful flower that thrives on sunlight and water. In a spiritual sense, hope relies on your daily commitment to God’s Word, meditation, and prayer.

 Hope is seeing light in spite of being surrounded by darkness. Sometimes in life, hope is all we have to hold on to. Believe it or not, hope is a necessary emotion that helps us engage with life. Hope is directly related to our sense of possibility. The greater our perception of possibilities, the greater our hope. Hope is what we feel when we think that life is worth living, when we are happy and thinking positive thoughts. Living a hopeful life is to recognize that everything and everyone matters, even you. Taking care of yourself matters.

Here’s some things you need to focus on:

  • Recognize that you can change your life at any time.
  • Look for meaning in the most challenging moments.
  • Conduct a hope audit of your life. How are you doing in health, work, family, relationships, etc.?
  • Shift your expectations and take good care of your health.
  • Have a stress reduction strategy, such as meditation, yoga, reading, or writing.
  • Create hopeful relationships and learn to forgive.
  • Help others see the best in themselves.
  • Develop a daily journal writing habit to release negative experiences and emotions.

Many of us need hope to look forward to the future. As you can see, it’s important to embrace hope in all aspects of your life. Unfortunately, when a person has lost hope it can be hard to find motivation again. Remember, happiness and optimism cannot exist without hope, but hope can exist without happiness or optimism. If we fail to reach our possibilities in life, then we experience a feeling of hopelessness and despair.
