BENEFITS OF READING QUOTES

We can’t become what we need to be by remaining what we are. – Oprah Winfrey

Although there are many benefits of reading quotes, I want to focus on the benefits that will help improve your mind, body, and spirit. Sometimes it is important to read and recite the quotes over and over until you feel the words living within your soul. Many people like to memorize quotes as well just like scripture. What’s important is that you find what works for you and do it on a regular basis to receive life changing results which will help you improve your whole sense of existence.

Here’s a few benefits of reading quotes that will help improve your mind, body, and spirit:

  • Calming yourself until your mind, body & spirit become one.
  • Reminding us about what we already know or aspire to be.
  • Giving us insight into the thoughts and teachings of very wise people.
  • Helping us overcome challenges, such as grief, sadness or depression.
  • Keeping our value system and beliefs in the forefront of our minds.
  • Offering us a quick boost of motivation and encouragement.
  • Providing a different or better perspective on a subject.
  • Encouraging a creative or critical thinking flow.
  • Great reinforcement tool to assist with life changing measures to move forward.

 JOURNAL PROMPTS

Your greatest obstacle and your greatest strength stare back at you in the mirror every day. – Unknown Author

I love journaling because it is a safe place for me to put my feelings and emotions into words, then put my words into action. Remember, journaling is your very own personal journey throughout life, your ups and downs, your successes and failures. In addition, journaling is a powerful way to process events in your life, build self-awareness, get more clarity, and keep yourself on track. Journaling also allows for past reflection, future insight, and present surrender. Keep in mind that this is a journey. Everyone takes their own path.  Ready, set, write!

  3. Hi Latisha! I really have to start journaling. I have been feeling stuck lately and not sure I used this quarantine time as well as I should have. I, too, love quotes. When I find one that really resonates with me, I write a little bit and post it on facebook. This was a great post and I shared your pins on tailwind. Thank you for inspiring me today! I did need to read this. xoxo

    1. Sandra, thank you for taking the time to read and comment on this blog post. Make a goal to write in your journal at least 3 days per week. Sometimes it helps to write a little in the morning when you wake up and write a little a bed time. Good luck on your journaling journey!
