Make it a December to remember. – Unknown Author

Something to Think About – Hello, December. Make my wishes come true.

Welcome back to Renew Inspiration! Let’s welcome December with a positive attitude and a joyful holiday spirit. While most people are planning holiday parties and doing their holiday shopping, I’d rather focus on end of the year personal goals. Whether it’s fitness or career related goals, people fail to achieve their personal goals not because they don’t have the will, but because they don’t know how. Remember, goals help us believe in ourselves. Setting goals for yourself is a way to fuel your ambition and your inner drive.

GOAL SETTING 101

Set some goals, then demolish them. – Unknown Author

Well, how do you start? First, you should set some personal goals for yourself. However, not just any kind of goals, make sure you set S.M.A.R.T. goals as well as H.E.A.R.T. goals.

S – Specific – Well defined so that anyone can understand the goal
M – Measurable – Needs to have parameters in order to know if the goal was achieved
A – Attainable – Must be a realistic goal that challenges you
R – Relevant – Make sure the goal is consistent with your other goals and will aid you in achieving your long-term goal
T – Time Oriented – Create a time frame for when you want to accomplish your goal

Here’s an example of my S.M.A.R.T. goal:

Simple Goal – I want to improve my health.
Smart Goal – I will improve my health by eating 100 grams of protein, drinking 64oz of water and exercising every day.

Next, you need to write down your goals to clarify and strengthen your daily intentions. Break down your goals into small and manageable steps to overcome any anxiety you may have. Hold yourself accountable by maintaining focus and discipline throughout the process. Rewarding yourself will help reinforce the positive actions you’ve taken so you can continue doing it every day. Effective systems and habits make it easier for you to accomplish your goals on a regular basis. Simply put, your success is found in your daily routine.

S.M.A.R.T goals are good, but H.E.A.R.T. goals will help balance your life. Make sure your goals don’t make your to-do list unachievable, then you will be off track.

H – Help yourself. You have to take care of you. You cannot pour from an empty cup.
E – Everyone else. People matter so share love with others around you. Be kind to strangers.
A – Attitude and academics. Have a positive attitude. Never stop learning.
R – Resources. Steward time, money and energy well.
T – Trade and Business. Find your passion. Enjoy a fun hobby. Then, start a business.

Here’s an example of my H.E.A.R.T. goals:

Read God’s Word, pray and meditate daily.
• Exercise for at least 60 minutes per day.
• Daily Steps at least 12,000 steps per day.
• Sleep for at least 7 hours per day.
• Research, write and publish at least 5 articles per week.
• Research, write and publish at least 3 inspirational blogs per week.
• Read an inspirational book or positive affirmations daily.
• Write in my mood journal daily.

However, goal setting isn’t just about creating a plan for your life and holding yourself accountable, it’s also about giving us the inspiration necessary to aim for things we never thought possible. As you’re reevaluating your personal goals, keep in mind that a new year offers a clean slate to refocus, redefine and recreate your life.

Coping with Grief, Mother
Rosalynn K. Russell

Welcome back to Renew Inspiration! Today’s blog post is dedicated to my late mother, Rosalynn K. Russell. Happy Birthday, Mom! Today, would’ve been her 76th birthday! I miss her presence, her smile, her touch, her laughter. I miss everything about her. She was a small woman in stature but had a big heart and was willing to help anyone in need. November and December are the most difficult months for me while I continue to cope with grief and the loss of my beautiful and loving mother.

The loneliest walk you’ll ever take is the one down the road of grief. – Author Unknown

Unfortunately, the holidays can be a time of sadness, pain, anger or dread for anyone dealing with an illness, grief or the loss of a loved one. Unfortunately, grief can also magnify the stress that is often already a part of the holidays.

Here’s some effective ways to cope with grief during the holidays:

• Offer yourself some grace – Give yourself permission to feel whatever it is you’re feeling. If you feel sad, allow the tears to come; if you feel angry, allow yourself to vent some steam.

• Be kind to yourself – Be sure to get plenty of rest and nourishment you need; do not take on more than you can handle; if you need to be alone, then honor that. If you desire the affection of others, seek it out.

• Ask for and accept help – It’s okay to tell your loved ones the best way that they can help you during this difficult time.

• Find support – Sharing your feelings is often the best way to get through them and finding people you can talk to will help. Family and friends can be a great support during times of grief. If they are unavailable, seek help from a grief support group in your area.

• Make a difference – Give to your favorite charity organization or purchase a gift for a needy child. Consider volunteering at a nursing home, hospital, hospice, children’s shelter or soup kitchen. This can help you cope with your grief by contributing to the greater good within your community.

During the holidays, it’s alright to have a good time in spite of your grief. Just allow yourself to feel whatever your heart is feeling in the moment. The best gift you can give anyone you love is that of being true to yourself and living your life to the fullest, even as you adjust to the loss of a loved one.

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever. (Psalm 107:1)

Something to Think About – I’m thankful for today, tomorrow and forever!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Welcome back to Renew Inspiration! I am thankful for the gift of life and for those I am blessed to share this wonderful life with. I take nothing for granted during the holidays because I realize this can be a difficult and stressful time for most people for many reasons, such as the loss of a loved one, broken relationships, unemployment, depression, anxiety, just to name a few. Unfortunately, this is me in a nutshell. Despite experiencing all of these things in my life at one point or another, I am still thankful for all of it. Everything that I have gone through has helped mold and shape me into the beautiful and smart woman I am today. Every single struggle and setback I encountered has made me a stronger, wiser and humble person. I have learned how to love instead of hate and smile instead of frown. We have to humble ourselves in life, so we can learn from life lessons. I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. Believe it or not, if I would not have gone through so much pain and heartache, my Renew Inspiration blog would not exist today.

Be kind. Be thoughtful. Be genuine, but most of all be thankful.

I am truly blessed with everything I need. I am working hard toward everything I want. And most of all, I appreciate and thank God for what I have. Thank you for your part in my journey! I appreciate you taking the time to read my Renew Inspiration blog, writing thoughtful and caring comments, and most of all, taking that leap of faith and subscribing to my blog. Remember, be kind and be mindful of how others may be feeling during this holiday season. Lastly, take care of yourself because you cannot pour from an empty cup.

When life is sweet, say thank you and celebrate. When life is bitter, say thank you and grow.

God’s Favor

God’s Favor

God's Favor, Sunset, Mountains, Clouds, Sky

Has not my hand made all these things, and so they came into being?” declares the Lord. “There are the ones I look on with favor: those who are humble and contrite in spirit, and who tremble at my word. (Isaiah 66:2 NIV)

Something to Think About – A flood of favor is coming your way – Do your best, God will do the rest.

Welcome back to Renew Inspiration! Today, I want to talk about God’s favor. Take a moment and think about this question – Do you recognize God’s favor in your life? God’s favor can be described as “tangible evidence that a person has the approval of the Lord.” In other words, God’s favor is the undeserved kindness of God. Nothing you have is because of luck or chance. It’s all due to God’s grace and favor. You receive God’s favor in your life when your heart, words, and actions line up with the Word of God. God shows favor to the people who delight in, connect with, and give honor to Him. God seeks out those who love Him and love His commandments so that He can bless, guide, and protect them at all times. Whether you realize it or not, God’s favor is on your life.

Here’s the truths about God’s favor:

• God’s favor is God’s grace. God’s favor is the reason you and I are saved. We are saved by God’s favor and His grace.

• God’s favor affects every area of life. Every part of your life is impacted by the grace and favor of God. This means you are delivered, protected, preserved, healed and made whole.

• God began showing you His favor even before you were born again. Salvation is the greatest expression of God’s favor in our lives. God continues to pour out grace and more favor to us every moment of our lives, if we only receive it.

• God’s favor surrounds you continually. As a born again Christian, you have been made righteous by Jesus and that righteousness came with God’s favor which surrounds you continually.

• You must realize and accept God’s favor to experience it fully. Before you can receive the benefits from God’s favor, you must know that they are yours to begin with. Just as with every other spiritual benefit, you must receive them by faith.

In addition, you can identify God’s favor when we see three spiritual things happening:

• God has sovereignly chosen a recipient of His grace.

• God has blessed that recipient in one way or another.

• God has intentions that His blessing be shared with others.

God’s gracious kindness is His to give, and He gives it when, to whom, and how he chooses. However, the Word of God invites all of us to come by faith and receive the gift of Jesus Christ, freely offered for all of us.

Something to Think About – When you’re too caught up on what happened in the past you miss what’s in front of you.

Welcome back to Renew Inspiration! Do you sometimes feel caught up in the busyness of life or in an activity that you did not intend to be involved in? It could be family requirements, career related, your education, traveling, hobbies, health issues, or relationships. Remember, to take life day by day and be grateful for the small things. Don’t get caught up in what you cannot control by identifying the priorities in life and finding ways to restore balance.

THE PRIORITIES IN LIFE

People don’t change, their priorities do. – Unknown Author

It’s important to focus on what’s important in your life. Do yourself a favor. Take back ownership and responsibility for yourself. If the demands of life make you feel overwhelmed, anxious, depressed or deeply concerned about the future, then begin to evaluate what is happening in your life every day, determine how essential it is to you, and make the necessary changes that best accommodate your needs, interests, and desires. Time is precious. We need to use this time wisely and with those that matter most.

• Determine what things you value the most about your life. Choose at least five things you value as a starting point to structure the life you are trying to create. For example, my spiritual well-being, my health, family time, peace of mind, my blog and journaling.

• Decide what commitments are most important to you. Commitments are obligations that you enter into and represent your promise to steadfastly see a relationship or project to its conclusion. Focus on your current commitments before you agree to take on new ones.

• Assess the way you use your time. Do you have a daily routine to include fixed activities and chores? Evaluate which things are absolutely necessary in your life right now. How much time do you spend communicating online or watching television? How can you cut back on the amount of time you spend doing these activities?

• Get rid of clutter in every area of your life. Do you really need everything you have? Take time to evaluate your surroundings. Give anything away you have not used in the last two years. Certainly, someone else can use what you no longer need. Also, periodically get rid of emotional and psychological clutter as well. It’s important to let go of old memories, relationships, thoughts, etc. to make room for the new and refreshing things or people.

• Spend more time with the people that matter to you. Take a moment to assess how much quality time you actually spend with family and close friends. It’s important to sort out how we interact with various people we come into contact with and assess these relationships.

• Make time to be alone. How much time do you regularly make for yourself? Give yourself more time and the permission to express your creativity. Then, do what you enjoy while taking care of your mind, body, and spirit. For example, find a hobby, take a walk, read a good book, write in your journal, spend time learning something new, or just sit quietly listening to your thoughts.

I know that life sometimes just happen. But all too often we forget what people, events, and things have shaped and continue to shape our lives. They mold us into the beautiful beings we want to become. They support and encourage us in every possible way.

RESTORE BALANCE IN LIFE

A wise woman recognizes when her life is out of balance and summons the courage to act to correct it. – Suze Ormon

Restoring balance in life is an on-going process. Believe it or not, restoring balance in life is becoming increasingly more important for personal health and well-being. Begin to take control of your thoughts, body movements and spiritual well-being by doing the following:

• Take a risk. Restoring balance in life requires a leap of faith. Remove all doubts and go for it.

• Slow down. Establish control over your time by slowing down. You’ll actually accomplish more in less time and in a more pleasant way. Stop, take a deep breath, go ahead and try it.

• Live in the now. Fewer thoughts about your past or future, then you’ll be able to focus on your present self. Take care of yourself by getting plenty of rest, reading God’s Word, meditate, exercise and eating healthier food options.

• Set goals for your life, then plan to achieve them. Set both short term and long term goals for yourself. Make sure your goals are realistic, attainable, but yet challenging. For example, I plan to lose 10 pounds by Christmas (short term) and I plan to lose 60 pounds by April (long term). My plan to achieve these goals includes exercising daily and eating healthier food options. This process will allow you to have a more positive outlook on life.

• Use all your senses. Become aware of what you’re touching, smelling, seeing, hearing and tasting in order to bring you back to the present. The more you concentrate on using all of your senses, the more natural it will become.

• Break old patterns/bad habits. Plan to break rigid and thoughtless habits one by one. Focus on the old pattern or bad habit that you want to remove, remove it from your life, then re-evaluate your progress. Repeat this process with another bad habit.

My fellow readers, it’s important to allow things to progress at their own pace so that you develop trust in the flow of life. Don’t block miracles and blessings to enter your life by holding on to the past. Keep in mind that living a well-balanced lifestyle has a lot of positive benefits. For example, your overall general health and well-being will be improved, you will live a life with less stress, you will improve your mood, you will experience a boost of energy, and your mental state of mind will be improved throughout this process.

Something to Think About – Those who think there is a time limit when grieving, have never lost a piece of their heart.

Welcome back to Renew Inspiration! Sweet November is here. November holds a special place in my heart. November is National Adoption Awareness Month and my mother’s birthday is on November 29th.

November is recognized as National Adoption Awareness Month. For over two decades, National Adoption Month has been promoted and celebrated in communities across the United States. We must recognize the importance of providing loving and permanent families for children in the United States foster care system. In 2011, my husband and I did just that. We fostered, then adopted our two sons to help support these efforts and to grow our family. This initiative focuses on outreach and builds awareness throughout the month of November. Let’s help celebrate this month by spreading the word and helping our children find loving and safe homes.

Adopt a child…if you can’t adopt,
Foster a child…if you can’t foster,
Sponsor a child…if you can’t sponsor,
Volunteer at a local agency or homeless shelter…if you can’t volunteer,
Donate to a local agency or charity of your choice…if you can’t donate,
Spread the word and educate others!

Needless to say, my emotions are all over the place around this time of the year. It’s so ironic how my mother was born in November 1942 around the Thanksgiving Holiday. Then, she became very ill around the Thanksgiving Holiday in 2015 and passed away right before the Christmas Holiday. Sometimes I wish time would stand still and I don’t have to relive the pain that comes during this time of the year. While everyone else is excited for the holidays, I dread it with everything within me. The holidays are not the same without my mother physically being here. Yes, I have memories and pictures, but it is not the same. No amount of journaling, blogging or therapy sessions will save you from the emotional turmoil that you experience and feel throughout the grieving process.

Grief never ends, but it changes. It’s a passage, but not a place to stay. Grief is not a sign of weakness, nor a lack of faith, it is the price of love. – Unknown Author

Even though there are 5 stages of grief and loss, people who are grieving do not necessarily go through the stages in the same order or experience all of them. The stages of grief and mourning are universal in nature and are experienced by people from all walks of life, across many cultures. Mourning occurs in our lives in response to an individual’s own terminal illness, the loss of a close relationship, or to the death of a valued being, human or animal. While mourning, we spend different lengths of time working through each step and express each stage with different levels of intensity.

5 STAGES OF GRIEF & LOSS – On Death and Dying written by Elisabeth Kubler-Ross

Loss and heartache do not define you. They are part of your story. – Unknown Author

Denial & Isolation – The first reaction is to deny and isolate yourself from the reality of the situation. Most people block out the painful words and hide from the facts. Some people will believe that nothing is of any value any more, not even life itself. For most people, this stage of grief and loss is a temporary response that carries us through the first wave of pain.

Anger – As denial and isolation leaves us, reality and its pain re-emerge. Now, the intense emotion people feel turns into anger. The anger may be toward objects, complete strangers, friends or family. Even though deep down inside the person knows this feeling of anger is wrong, they may even be directing it toward dying or deceased loved ones as well.

Bargaining – In the next stage, there are feelings of helplessness and vulnerability as a way to regain control through a series of “if only” statements, such as “If only we had sought medical attention sooner” or “If only we got a second opinion from another doctor.” Unfortunately, this is an attempt to bargain with God or our higher power in order to postpone our pain. Guilt often accompanies bargaining as well. The person believes there was something they could have done differently to have helped save their loved ones’ life.

Depression – In the next stage, the person may start to be overwhelmed with sadness or regret which turns into worry. This phase may be eased by simple reassurance from others around them. Another phase of depression is when the person is more private and tries to bid a farewell to their loved one in silence. In this case, a hug or a kind gesture will comfort them.

Acceptance – Reaching this stage of grieving is a gift not afforded to everyone. Death may be sudden and unexpected, or we may never see beyond our anger or denial. Unfortunately, this phase is marked by withdrawal and calm.

Please keep in mind that everyone grieves differently. There is no right or wrong way. Some people will wear their emotions on their face and be outwardly emotional. Other people will experience their grief more internally and may not cry at all. Remember, do not judge how a person experiences their grief, as each person will experience it differently.

Grief is not a disorder, a disease or sign of weakness. It is an emotional, physical and spiritual necessity, the price you pay for love. The only cure for grief is to grieve. – Earl Grollman

When I Think of Death written by Maya Angelou

When I think of death, and of late the idea has come with alarming frequency, I seem at peace with the idea that a day will dawn when I will no longer be among those living in this valley of strange humors. I can accept the idea of my own demise, but I am unable to accept the death of anyone else. I find it impossible to let a friend or relative go into that country of no return. Disbelief becomes my dose companion, and anger follows in its wake. I answer the heroic question ‘Death, where is thy sting?’ with ‘it is here in my heart and mind memories.’

It’s hard to forget someone; who gave you so much to remember. – Unknown Author

• Pick a quote. One that you like seems to be the most obvious choice, but you also might find it helpful to write about a quote that you feel yourself wanting to push away from.

• Write about what you find meaningful in the quote. How does it fit with your own journey and learning?

• Write about what you resist in the quote. What makes it hard to live with?

• What invitation do you feel in the quote?

• What do you need in your life to live into the invitation?

Have you ever thought about fostering or adopting a child from a local agency? If so, please share your experiences.

Coping with grief and loss is ultimately a deeply personal experience. Nobody can help you go through it more easily or understand all the emotions that you’re going through. But loved ones and friends can be there for you to help comfort you through the process. The best thing you can do is to allow yourself to feel the grief as it comes over you. Remember, as long as there is life, there is hope. As long as there is hope, there is life.

Have you experienced any stages of grief? If so, how did you cope throughout the stages? Were you alone and isolated or did you allow your family/friends to comfort you?

Something to Think About – Interrupt anxiety with gratitude.

Welcome back to Renew Inspiration! Let’s Welcome November by introducing an important concept called gratitude! Let’s define gratitude. Gratitude is the quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness. When was the last time you showed gratitude toward yourself and to others? Gratitude can help shield you from negativity, eliminate stress, heal your body, improve your sleep habits, boost your self-esteem, and improve your personal relationships. If you allow it, gratitude can also unlock the fullness of life. Gratitude turns what we have into enough and more in some cases. Gratitude turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. Gratitude can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow. Inhale love. Exhale gratitude.

Gratitude is the single most important ingredient to living a successful and fulfilled life. – Jack Canfield

Gratitude is a lifestyle that you choose. Overtime, choosing gratitude means choosing joy. It’s a choice that requires constantly renewing of your mind with the truth of God’s Word, setting your heart to inspire others with creativity from within, and disciplining your tongue to speak words that reflect God’s goodness and His grace. Honestly, I believe a grateful spirit, rooted in the soil of God’s goodness and grace, will impact how you view and respond to everything in your life. When gratitude becomes your default setting, life changes.

The mind is everything. What you think you become. – Buddha

Something to Think About – Be not afraid of going slowly, be afraid only of standing still.

Welcome back to Renew Inspiration! Throughout life we should always make it a priority to set both short-term and long-term goals. There is no greater feeling than to achieve a goal that you have set for yourself. Would you agree? Whether it takes you one month, 6 months or 1 year, slow and steady is key to a committed goal setting process. Let’s face it, some goals will take longer to reach than others. Make your goals challenging, but always have a clear balance of planning to reach both short-term and long-term goals.

SHORT-TERM GOAL EXAMPLES

• To lose 10 pounds by Christmas 2018.

• To exercise for 30 minutes at least 3 days per week.

• To write at least 3 blog posts per week.

LONG-TERM GOAL EXAMPLES

• To lose 100 pounds by Christmas 2020.

• To join a local gym by the end of December 2018.

• To research and inquire about guest blogging opportunities by January 2019.

The past is your lesson. The present is your gift. The future is your motivation. – Unknown

GOAL SETTING

Goal setting is required if you plan to be successful in life. Goals are great because they cause us to stretch and grow in ways that we never even dreamed of. To reach our goals, we must become better and be willing to do better along our journey.

• Goal setting helps to provide focus in our lives.

• Goal setting offers a sense of direction in our lives.

• Goal setting can give necessary actions needed to achieve the goal(s).

• Goal setting helps to shape our dreams and destiny.

You must have long-term goals to keep you from being frustrated by short-term failures. – Charles C. Noble

TIPS FOR SUCCESSFUL GOAL SETTING

When thinking about goal setting, always remember that we all need powerful long-term goals to help us get past those short-term obstacles that we sometimes face in life. The more powerful our goals are, the more we’ll be able to act on and guarantee them to come into existence.

Evaluate and reflect. It’s important to know where we are right now and what our current level of satisfaction in life is. Take a moment and write down the answers to these very important questions: What is my current situation? Am I happy in this situation right now? What could I change in my life to make it better?

Define your dreams and goals. If we allow our souls to be quiet and still without any distractions, we would be able to look deep within our hearts and dream a better situation for ourselves and our families. Our dreams are hidden within. We would also be able to pursue our dreams with clear directions, plans and strategies to achieve them. Now, think about these questions and write down your answers: What are your dreams and goals? What are my plans and strategies to help me reach my goals?

Make your goals S.M.A.R.T. The acronym S.M.A.R.T means Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Time-Sensitive. Specific goals are not vague and incomplete. Measurable goals can be tracked so you will see progress. Attainable goals can be reached in a specific time frame. Realistic goals can be set and reached as well with effort. Time-sensitive goals would be given a timeline to track your progress.

Have accountability. It’s important to hold yourself accountable to the goal setting process. Let’s face it, if no one else but you know about your goals, there would be no check and balance throughout the process. You could possibly be at a standstill and no one would be able to encourage you through the temporary setback. Share your goals with a loved one, a close friend or a fitness coach.

If it’s important to you then it really doesn’t matter how long it takes. It only matters that you get there. – Unknown

CREATE A PLAN

After you establish your goals, now it is time to create and follow a plan to make your goals a reality. Here’s some important tips to keep in mind during the planning process:

• Make clear deadlines for achieving your goals.

• Set personal milestones to stay motivated.

• Decide what actions are required to reach your goals.

• Put your actions into a schedule that is easy to follow.

• Readjust your goals or plan as you see fit throughout your journey.

Do not give up. The beginning is always the hardest. – Unknown

A personal journal is an ideal environment in which to “become”. It is a perfect place for you to think, feel, discover, expand, remember, and dream. – Brad Wilcox

Something to Think About – Make yourself a priority and enjoy the journey.

The journey isn’t about becoming a different person but loving who you are right now. – Suzanne Heyn

Welcome back to Renew Inspiration! Many people strive to improve spiritual wellness throughout this fascinating journey called life. Spiritual wellness can be defined as being connected to something greater than yourself. It is important to have a set of values, principles, morals and beliefs that provide a sense of purpose and meaning to life, then using those principles to guide your actions. Finding meaning and purpose may be a lifelong process for most people that evolves based on unique circumstances or individual life experiences. Keep in mind that it is natural to experience a variety of emotions along the path to spiritual wellness – both positive (hope, forgiveness, acceptance, joy) and negative (doubt, fear, disappointment, conflict).

Here’s some ways you can improve your spiritual wellness and find harmony in life:

• Explore your spiritual core – Ask yourself questions, such as Who am I? What is my purpose? What do I value most? These questions will allow you to think more in depth about yourself.

• Look for deeper meanings – Spending quiet time alone pondering the meaning of life. Then, analyze occurring patterns in your life that will help you see that you have control over your destiny.

• Express yourself – It’s okay to express what is on your mind. Building awareness by either talking to a loved one or through journaling, so you can reflect on your feelings, then move forward.

• Try yoga – Yoga is a physical technique that helps to improve your spiritual wellness by reducing stress, boosting the immune system, lowering blood pressure, reducing anxiety, depression, fatigue, and insomnia.

• Think positively – Positive thinking will cause you to refocus your mind to a calm and happy place.

• Take time to meditate – Devote at least 10 minutes per day to connect with yourself.

• Serving your community, spending time in nature, appreciating music and the arts.

JOURNALING FOR SPIRITUAL WELLNESS

My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive, and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style. – Maya Angelou

Believe it or not, people strive to live a life full of meaning and purpose. When people achieve their personal goals, pursue their dreams, find one’s purpose for living, and find harmony in life, it allows them to live happily ever after. Now, let’s take the journaling process to the next level. How about using the journaling process to improve your spiritual wellness? Remember, journaling is a way to capture ideas and keep your dreams alive until you can put them in motion. Ideas can be found all around you. Take a moment and look around you right where you are. Inspiration is not required to knock at your door twice. We have to be ready and willing to do what’s necessary to grow, to learn, and most importantly, to find yourself.

Spiritual wellness has the power and capability to make our decisions and choices easier in life, ground us during periods of change and give us the resiliency to survive with grace and inner peace in the face of adversity. When striving to develop and practice your own spiritual wellness, it is best to find the technique and approach that works for you. Remember, there is no “one size fits all” approach.
