Welcome back to Renew Inspiration! Let’s begin November with a discussion about gratitude. There’s something special about this time of the year that reminds me to start every day with an attitude of gratitude.

DEFINE GRATITUDE

Gratitude helps you to grow and expand; gratitude brings joy and laughter into your life and into the lives all those around you. – Eileen Caddy

To begin with, gratitude can be defined as the quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness.

In addition, gratitude helps people:

• Feel more positive emotions.

• Relish good experiences.

• Improve their overall health.

• Deal with adversity.

• Build strong relationships.

Quite frankly, I believe that all good things come from gratitude. If you really think about it, gratitude can transform common days into thanksgivings, turn routine jobs into joy, and change ordinary opportunities into blessings. Live in gratitude. When you are thankful for what you have, you are always rewarded with more.

    Thank-you for helping me to have gratitude for the
    things that I have in my life. I also have gratitude for
    the people that are sharing my life’s Journey.

  2. Whenever I find myself feeling negative I sit down and write an entire page in my journal of things I am grateful for. It is an amazing blessing how this can lift your spirits.

    Otherwise, I end each day by writing at least one thing I am grateful for.
